TAFDC Dependent Child

The primary nonfinancial TAFDC requirement is the presence of a dependent child. A dependent child is a child who is younger than 18 years old. A child who is a full-time student in grade 12 or below, or in a vocational or technical training program of the equivalent level designed to lead to gainful employment who is expected to graduate or complete the course of study or training before his or her 19 birthday, is also considered a dependent child. th
