Oral Complaints
In the case of an oral complaint, the worker must attempt to address the complainant's
dissatisfaction by providing a prompt interpretation of agency policy. In the event the
complainant is not satisfied with the worker's explanations and wishes to go beyond the worker
for assurance that he or she is receiving equitable treatment, the worker's immediate supervisor
must be available for a three-way discussion of the problem.
The applicant or client must be informed of the right to appeal and have a fair hearing or to
have a review without a hearing.
