Penalties

(1) Violations of M.G.L. c. 26, § 8G, and 212 CMR 2.00 may result in penalties including administrative costs, revocation or suspension of license or both. All administrative costs are subject to the discretion of the Board. The administrative costs may be assessed against the appraiser, the appraiser's employer, the insurer, or the repair shop. An alleged violation of 212 CMR 2.00 by a licensed appraiser at the direction of an insurer may be reported to the Division of Insurance which may impose applicable penalties against such an insurer.
