BULLETIN 13-04 Correcting Bulletin 12-12 Date: January 16, 2013 To: All Property and Casualty Insurers, the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (MAIF), and the Joint Insurance Association (JIA) Re: COMAR 31.01.02 Emergency Regulation on Claims Information for June 29, 2012 Storm (Derecho) This bulletin corrects and amends a typographical error in Bulletin 12-12, which directs the State’s authorized property and casualty insurer, MAIF, and JIA to provide the data set forth in COMAR 31.01.02.07(3). Additionally, the MIA email addresses listed in the original bulletin have been updated. Bulletin 12-12 remains in full force and effect with the exception of the date of the last data submission deadline. For convenience, the corrected bulletin appears below: This bulletin hereby directs the State’s authorized property and casualty insurers, MAIF, and JIA to provide the data set forth in COMAR 31.01.02.07(3). The data shall be submitted for each individual insurance company, by line of business for each county and the City of Baltimore in the attached form (Attachment A). The completed form should be sent to the Compliance & Enforcement Unit by e-mail at pcinform.mia@maryland.gov. Submission Deadlines are as follows: Data as of July 16, 2012 due July 31, 2012 Data as of October 16, 2012 due October 31, 2012 Data as of January 16, 2013 due January 31, 2013 If the company or association is unable to provide any or all the information, it must submit a detailed explanation as to why it is unable to provide this information and state what information it can provide. Supplied data is confidential commercial data protected under State Government Article, §10-617(d), Annotated Code of Maryland, except when aggregated with data from all other insurers in a manner that does not permit any individual company information to be identified.
