Larsen, Insurance Commissioner RE: Insurer Affiliation Survey DATE: November 7, 2002 _____________________________________________________________________________ The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) coordinating with Federal Regulators Working Group has developed an industry survey to identify insurance underwriters that are affiliated with banks and securities firms. Attached to this Bulletin is a memo from the aforementioned NAIC Working Group that further explains the purpose of the survey and provides a link for completing the survey on-line. At this time, I ask that all Maryland insurers complete the brief survey as soon as possible. Note that the deadline for completing the survey has been moved to November 29, 2002.
