Handling of Cash at Gaming Tables

PURPOSE: This rule establishes requirements for handling cash at a gaming table. (1) Whenever cash is presented by a patron at a gaming table for exchange of gaming chips, the following procedures and requirements shall be observed: (A) The cash shall be spread on the top of the gaming table by the dealer or box person accepting it in full view of the patron who presented it; (B) The cash value amount, if over five hundred dollars ($500), shall be verbalized by the dealer or box person accepting it in a tone of voice calculated to be heard by the patron and the floor supervisor assigned to that gaming table; and (C) Immediately after that, the cash shall be taken from the top of the gaming table and placed by the dealer or box person into the drop box attached to the gaming table. (2) No cash wagers shall be allowed to be placed at any gaming table. The cash shall be converted to chips prior to acceptance of a wager.
