The Executive Director may make revisions to these rules, regulations, guidelines and procedures (including the Coastal Wetlands Use Plan) without the federal government’s approval under the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended. However, federal approval of revisions is desirable so that they may be enforced through the federal consistency provisions of Section 307 of the Act, and so that financial assistance may be secured to implement the revisions.
