Suspension of Commercial Driver Licenses The Commissioner of Public Safety shall suspend the commercial driver’s license of a person for such period under the Federal Motor Carriers Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 (CMVSA) and regulations adopted pursuant thereto, if the person is determined to have committed a violation of the CMVSA or its accompanying regulations.
