School Calendar Approval and Modification The State Board of Education shall approve the academic calendars for state schools. In order to facilitate response to natural disasters or other emergencies, adjustments to SBE- approved calendars may be made with the approval of the State Superintendent of Education or his/her designee, with subsequent ratification by the State Board of Education at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
