Licensing Decision โ A written final decision will be provided to the applicant
within ninety (90) calendar days of the date the child was placed in the home for
Expedited .
Approval. If the application is approved and the home is licensed, MDCPS will
provide a licensure certificate to the Relative / Fictive Kin foster family stating the
full names of the Relative or Fictive Kin foster parents, the full address of the foster
home, and the date the license was issued. The certificate will be valid for two years.
Denial. If the applicant is denied licensure, MDCPS will send a Notice of Action-
Licensing Decision that includes a reason for the denial to the family within three
(3) business days. The applicant does not have the right to appeal the agencyโs
decision.
