OPINION 49-163 December 20, 1949 (OPINION) PRINTING RE: Distribution of 1949 Supplement I acknowledge receipt of your letter of December 20, 1949, wherein you inquire to what extent the secretary of state is authorized to distribute Volume 8 of the North Dakota Revised Code of 1943, in accordance with chapter 46-04 of the North Dakota Revised Code of 1943, governing the distribution of public documents. In view of the specific language of chapter 46-04, which states that the officers are entitled to receive a copy of any publication of the laws of the state, and of any compilation or codification thereof, it is the opinion of this office that Volume 8 of the North Dakota Revised Code of 1943 should be treated exactly the same as the Session Laws, and distributed, according to the statute, to the public officials and subdivisions of the state therein prescribed.
