Fusible plugs

Fire-actuated fusible plugs, if used, must conform to the requirements of the American Society
of Mechanical Engineers Code for power boilers.
2.
They may be replaced by steel plugs if the boiler is gas-fired or oil-fired and is equipped with a
low water fuel cutoff.
