Postclosure plan - Postclosure bond - Estimated costs for postclosure care

Prior to the start of the postclosure period, the operator shall submit to the department the estimated costs for postclosure care and maintenance as computed in accordance with established engineering principles. This information will be used to determine the amount of the postclosure bond. The estimated costs must include: 1. The cost of long-term ground water restoration to ensure continued compliance consistent with the values in the permit's restoration table for both production and nonproduction zones; 2. The cost of operating monitoring systems; and 3. The cost of inspection and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with all reclamation, design, and operating criteria.
