Plugging of injection wells

The proper plugging of an injection well requires the well be plugged with cement or other types of
plugs, or both, in a manner which will not allow movement of fluids into an underground source of
drinking water. The operator shall file a notice of intention to plug (form 4) or form provided by the
director and shall obtain the director's approval of the plugging method prior to the commencement of
plugging operations.
