The coverage should include all medically necessary booster doses of all immunizing agents used in childhood immunizations. Additionally, coverage for childhood immunizations and necessary booster doses may be subject to deductibles and coinsurance consistent with those imposed on other benefits under the same contract. The Superintendent also recommends that each health insurer and Health Maintenance Organization providing major medical or comprehensive coverage in New Mexico apply the above criteria related to childhood immunizations to all lines of business.
