Overstatement Of Environmental Benefits
It is an unfair or deceptive trade practice to make an environmental marketing claims in a manner that overstates the environmental attribute or benefit, expressly or by implication. Marketers must avoid implications of significant environmental benefits if the benefits are in fact negligible. [5/1/98; Recompiled 10/15/01]
