Rule 17 . Sanctions for noncompliance. If a party or an attorney fails and/or refuses to comply with these rules, the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure, the District Court Rules, the Supreme Court Rules, or any other requirement of Nevada law, the Court may, after notice and an opportunity to be heard, make such orders and impose such sanctions as are just, including, but without limitation, the following:
1. Hold the disobedient party or attorney in contempt of court. 2. Continue a hearing or trial until the disobedient party or attorney has complied with the requirements imposed and require the disobedient party to pay the opposing party’s expenses incurred to prepare for and attend the hearing or trial, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and witness fees. 3. Refuse to allow the disobedient party or attorney to support or oppose designated claims or defenses, or prohibit the introduction into evidence of designated documents or things or items of testimony. 4. Set the case for immediate trial.
