Pahrump JCR 13
Rule 13 . Acceptance of pleadings by counsel.
(a) Any pleading submitted by an attorney for filing in a case on a party’s behalf will only be accepted if the attorney is counsel of record for that party. If a party desires a new attorney, a substitution of counsel must be signed by the party, the former attorney, and the substituting attorney. The substitution of counsel must be filed with the court before any pleadings submitted by new counsel are accepted for filing. (b) If an attorney has been retained by a party and no other attorney has appeared on that party’s behalf in a matter, a notice of appearance or designation of counsel must be filed with this court before any pleadings submitted by that attorney will be accepted for filing in this court. Any pleadings submitted by an attorney who has not filed a substitution or written appearance on a party’s behalf will not be accepted for filing.
