McReynolds EAM Commissioner RE: Correspondence or Self-Study Programs DATE: January 31, 1992 Some agent education providers have been offering one day seminars or other supervised classroom activity of less than 25 hours duration in association with correspondence or self-study programs. It is the Department's position that as of this date every correspondence or self-study program approved by the Commissioner is to be completed by the agent alone. Supervised classroom activities do not fall within the scope of correspondence or self-study programs and such activities are prohibited. Any courses previously submitted which include any combination of self-study and classroom activity should be immediately withdrawn. Any further questions on this matter may be directed to Mr. T. A.
