R277-400-6. Emergency Preparedness Training for School Occupants

(1) An LEA's or a school's plan shall include standard response protocols as established by the state security chief and shall provide procedures for students and adults to receive developmentally appropriate and age-appropriate emergency preparedness training including: (a) rescue techniques; (b) first aid; (c) Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter protocols; (d) Avoid, Deny, Defend, and Aid protocols; (e) reunification method; (f) safety measures appropriate for specific emergencies; and (g) other emergency skills. (2) An LEA shall conduct emergency and fire drills in accordance with Section 15A-5-202.5.
