R436-2-2. Definitions

(1) "Foundling" means a deserted or abandoned infant whose parents are unknown that is found and cared for by people other than the infant's parents. (2) "Hospital" means the same as defined in Subsection 80-4-501(1). (3) "Infant of unknown parentage" means a newborn child who has been relinquished by a parent or parents who have not identified themselves. (4) "Newborn child" means the same as defined in Subsection 80-4-501(2). (5) "Relinquished newborn child" means a newborn child that has been relinquished in compliance with the requirements of Title 80, Chapter 4, Part 5, Safe Relinquishment of a Newborn Child.
