WAC 388-842-0190. How must the provider obtain medical care for a client?

(1) The provider is responsible for partnering with a client's legal representative to obtain medical care for the client. (2) The legal representative must provide a copy of the court order authorizing the recommended medical care, or signed parent consent, to the RHDY provider before care occurs if the client requires: (a) General anesthesia or surgery and is under age 18; (b) Gender-affirming medical care and is under age 18; or (c) A prescribed psychotropic medication, and is: (i) Under age 13; or (ii) Age 13-17 and their treating healthcare professional has determined they are not capable of giving consent. (3) The RHDY provider must notify DCYF and DDA of emergency care provided.
