RPSs must develop and follow mental health awareness and suicide prevention policies and procedures approved by the department that document the following: (1) The mental health resources available on-site; (2) How to access mental health resources in the community; (3) Instructions on how RPSs will respond to residential students exhibiting mental health concerns; (4) Emergency protocol and contacts; and (5) Training requirements for personnel, including: (a) Suicide prevention; and (b) Suicide risk assessment tool training.
