§ 11–932. Deputy clerks and other employees; compensation; supervision; process; powers (a) Subject to the approval of the chief judge, the clerk of the District of Columbia Court of General Sessions may appoint and remove such deputy clerks and other employees of the court as he deems necessary. The chief judge shall fix the compensation of the personnel so appointed in accordance with the Classification Act of 1949, as amended. (b) The deputies and employees appointed under subsection (a) of this section shall be under the supervision and direction of the clerk. (c) In all civil actions in the Court of General Sessions, process shall be signed by the clerk or deputy clerks in the name of the court, The deputy clerks may sign the name of the clerk to any official act required by law or by practice of the court to be performed by the clerk. In such case, the signature shall be:, “——— ———, Clerk, by ——— ———, Deputy Clerk.
