SEC. 410. RAISE IN MAXIMUM LEVEL OF LOAN REPAYMENTS. (a) Repayment Programs With Respect to AIDS.— Section 487A of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 288–1) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), by striking “$20,000” and inserting “$35,000”; and (2) in subsection (c), by striking “1996” and inserting “2001”. (b) Repayment Programs With Respect to Contraception and Infertility.— Section 487B(a) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 288–2(a)) is amended by striking “$20,000” and inserting “$35,000”. (c) Repayment Programs With Respect to Research Generally.— Section 487C(a)(1) of the Public Health Service Act (42U.S.C. 288–3(a)(D) is amended by striking “$20,000”” and inserting “$35,000”. (d) Repayment Programs With Respect to Clinical Researchers From Disadvantaged Backgrounds.— Section 112 STAT. 3590487E(a) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 288–5(a)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by striking “$20,000” and inserting “$35,000”; and (2) in paragraph (3), by striking “338C” and inserting “338B, 338C”.
