Sec. 2705. No provision of this Act may be construed as altering or amending the force or effect of any of the following provisions of law as currently applied: (1) Sections 2631 and 2631a of title 10, United States Code.(2) Sections 901(b) and 901b of the Merchant Marine Act, 1936 (46 U.S.C. App. 1241(b), 1241f ).(3) Public Resolution Numbered 17, Seventy-third Congress (48 Stat. 500).(4) Any other similar pro vision of law requiring the use of privately owned United States flag commercial vessels for certain transportation purposes of the United States.
