FUNDING OF EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL COUNSELING SERVICES.

SEC. 1302. FUNDING OF EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL COUNSELING SERVICES. (a) In General.—Subchapter II of chapter 36 is amended by adding at the end the following new section: 102 STAT. 4128 “§ 1797. Funding of contract educational and vocational counseling “(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, educational or vocational counseling services obtained by the Veterans’ Administration by contract and provided to an individual applying for or receiving benefits under section 524 or chapter 30, 32, 34, or 35 of this title, or chapter 106 of title 10, shall be paid for out of funds appropriated, or otherwise available, to the Veterans’ Administration for payment of readjustment benefits. “(b) Payments under this section shall not exceed $5,000,000 in any fiscal year.”. (b) Clerical Amendment.—The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 36 is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 1796 the following new item: “1797. Funding of contract educational and vocational counseling.”.
