410 IAC 7-26-164 Eggs

Sec. 164. (a) Raw, in-shell chicken eggs must be received clean and sound, and may not exceed the restricted egg tolerances for U.S. Consumer Grade B as specified in United States Standards, Grades, and Weight Classes for Shell Eggs, AMS 56.200 et seq., administered by the Agricultural Marketing Service of USDA to the extent these requirements are consistent with IC 16-42-11 and rules authorized by that law. (b) Eggs that are not the product of a domesticated chicken must be received clean and sound from a source registered with a regulatory authority. (c) For purposes of this section, a violation of subsection (a) or (b) is a P item.
