LAC 51:XXIII.1907. Ice [formerly paragraph 22:12-4]

A. Ice for consumer use shall be dispensed only by employees with scoops, tongs, or other ice-self-dispensing utensils or through automatic service ice-dispensing equipment. Ice-dispensing utensils shall be stored in accordance with §2519 of this Part. B. Ice used as a medium for cooling food such as melons or fish, packaged foods such as canned beverages, or cooling coils and tubes of equipment, shall not be used as food.
