Change of name. A. When the legal name of a notary public is changed, the notary public may continue to perform official acts in the name in which he was commissioned until the expiration of the term. B. The Secretary of State will mark the public records relating to the notary public name change. Application for reappointment of the notary public shall be made in the new name.
