Wigen, Commissioner of Insurance RE : Agents' Licensing Procedure DATE: January 9, 1984 J. O. Wigen We are enclosing a standardized department form to be used when appointing agents who are already licensed in North Dakota for the same line for which your company is appointing the agent. The department will not print additional copies of this form for your use and requests you duplicate or print the enclosed form. Included on this form is a list of retaliatory fees for your convenience. (Fees are determined by the agent's state of residence.) The effective date of licensure for agents being appointed with this form is the date that your authorized party signs the appointment form, provided the appointment form and appropriate fee(s) are mailed to our office on the date the form is signed. As we are now on a perpetual licensing system, we will no longer be mailing a license back to the company. Each agent receives one license showing the agent's name, residence address, social security number and lines for which licensed. The agent will not receive another license unless the agent changes residence address or line of insurance. Please notify all of your personnel and branch offices that deal with North Dakota licensing of this change in our licensing procedure. JOW:pas Enc.
