# COMMISSIONER'S BULLETIN NO. B-0022-96
# Statistical Bulletin No. 28
TO: All Companies Writing Commercial Lines Insurance in Texas
RE: Insurance Services Office (ISO) Designated as Texas
Commercial Lines Statistical Agent
*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
Please read carefully and distribute to appropriate
personnel handling statistical reporting.
The Commissioner of Insurance has designated the Insurance Services Office
(ISO) as the Texas statistical agent for commercial lines insurance. ISO replaces Acxiom
as the Texas commercial lines statistical agent. This bulletin provides information to
companies regarding the transition in reporting of commercial lines experience from
Acxiom to ISO.
Commercial lines experience includes commercial property, commercial (general)
liability, commercial multi-peril, commercial automobile, businessowners, fidelity and
surety, miscellaneous commercial (including inland marine, burglary and theft, glass, boiler
and special risks), mortgage guaranty, and miscellaneous personal lines (including inland
marine, burglary and theft, glass, personal liability and special risks).
# Submit Data Reports to ISO -- Effective Immediately
Effective immediately, all submissions of commercial lines experience shall be sent
to ISO at the following address:
Insurance Services Office
Second Floor Mail Room
Attn: TCLSP
2 Blue Hill Plaza
Pearl River, NY 10965-8750
Any data submitted to Acxiom from this time forward may be returned to
reporting companies. Companies will then be responsible for resending the data to ISO.

All companies holding 1995 commercial data pending the use of the commercial lines company edit package (developed and distributed by Acxiom) are expected to complete editing and corrections and submit these data to ISO by May 15, 1996.
The submission date for first quarter 1996 commercial lines experience has been extended from May 15 until June 15, 1996. Prior to the due date, ISO will provide reporting companies with revised transmittal letters and external labels which must accompany 1996 data submissions. In addition, ISO will provide the names of people to contact regarding specific issues.
### Commercial Lines Edit Package
Acxiom will continue to distribute and support the Commercial Lines Edit Package through April 30, 1996. Acxiom plans to cease handling company questions about commercial lines matters, including the edit package, effective May 1, 1996. After that time, please direct all correspondence and questions regarding the company edit package to Mr. Brian Thompson of ISO, at the mailing address noted above, or at 1-800-888-4476 (press option 3).
### Reporting Format Options
Reporting companies may report data to ISO in one of two formats. One format is the format prescribed in the Texas Commercial Lines Statistical Plan (TCLSP). The TCLSP was previously the only permissible format for submission of Texas experience. Reporting companies may submit data in a second format -- the ISO Commercial Statistical Plan Plus (CSP+) format. This format is a variation of ISO's countrywide commercial statistical plan which contains additional data elements required by the state of Texas. Please note that ISO's CSP+ is not the same format as ISO's countrywide Commercial Statistical Plan. Questions about the ISO CSP+ reporting format should be directed to Mr. Sal Aurora of ISO at 212-898-5977.
Thank you for your assistance in these matters.
